A course consisting of 5 individual 3 hour woodturning sessions in a fully equipped woodturning workshop with 2 lathes to choose from, based in Veryan (on the Roseland) TR2.

The purpose of this course is to cover all the main aspects of bowl turning, including cross grain, end grain and natural edge bowls.

We will cover wood grain theory, blank mounting options, tool techniques, finishing, embellishing and design.

Also, common issues found in bowl turning and options to solve them.

All PPE and wood provided.

To get the most out of this course students should have some basic knowledge/experience of woodturning.

For complete beginners who have never been on a lathe before - I recommend a 2 hour taster session first.
